ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -
Joseph Vanderwall, a junior at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, scored a perfect 36 on the ACT college admissions exam.
Vanderwall's perfect 36 is quite an accomplishment -- just 704 students out of more than 1.6 million who took the ACT in 2011 scored a 36.
The average ACT score last year was 21.1 nationwide and 22.9 in Minnesota. In Minnesota, 72 percent of graduates took the ACT in 2011 -- a new high for the state.
FOX 9 News invited Vanderwall to come talk about his achievement, his plans for the future, and to give him a pop quiz!
