MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
A former assistant Hennepin County Attorney is in trouble again.
John St. Marie was charged Friday with gross misdemeanor prostitution.
St. Marie was found guilty two years ago of running a high-class escort ring known as the "Minnesota Nice Guys."
He was still on probation for that offense and probation officers were monitoring his internet use. On April 19th, Minneapolis Police learned St. Marie was planning to meet an escort. Detectives entered the room at the Crown Plaza Hotel and found St. Marie, who is a quadriplegic, naked in his wheelchair with the prostitute sitting beside him.
St. Marie told detectives he knew his activity was being monitored and that he was stupid.
