Tom Hanks needs no introduction. He’s a multiple Oscar winner, has been in some of the biggest movies ever, and he even has an asteroid named after him. Hanks' new film, Larry Crowne, pairs him again with Julia Roberts in a story about a middle-aged man going back to college.
Hanks said he wrote (with Nia Vardalos), directed, produced and acted in the film because when you get a good idea, you don’t want it in someone else’s hands.
Hanks also joked he wasn’t really in town to promote the film, he was actually just going to Taste of Chicago. He said when he filmed in the city, it was the first time he experienced a harsh winter. Despite the horrible conditions, Hanks said, he loves the city.
