High School Cuts Grad Requirements to Save Money

At Morton High School District 201, school officials have cut the number of credits that students need to graduate from 22 to 20, according to the Chicago Tribune .

The move is expected to save the district about $4.2 per year, according to the school board's president.

Next school year, Morton students will also have one less class period each day, and the remaining classes will each be extended by ten minutes.
