You know the thrill you got as a kid, playing with Tonka Trucks in a sandbox? Same thing only much bigger. That's the idea behind "Extreme Sandbox," a "heavy equipment adventure" just launched in Hastings. M.A. Rosko gets behind the controls of an excavator, but you can play on bulldozers and skid steers as well. Owner Randy Stenger says you take a 20-30 minute orientation class, then you are set free on the equipment. Try obstacle courses and other tests of your skills. Cost starts at around $200 to get on a skid steer only, and goes up. Group packages available.
