Torrie's Take - KMSP-TV

Torrie's Take

Hello Friends!

I'm back from a few much needed days off. While I was home last week, I caught up with my favorite shows. "The Rachel Zoe Project" is one of them! On the show, Rachel has just given birth to her son, Skylar. As a present, her hubby Roger gives her what's known as "push" present. She got a 10 carat cushion ring! Celeb Mommies love their push presents...the bigger the better! I can only imagine what Beyonce will get from will probably be like an island or foreign country--LOL!  This concept has become more and more popular over the last few years. "Push Presents" are gifts given to mothers by their husbands, after they give birth.

Here's my take:

I think push presents are great ideas! I'm sure woman have been getting these since the begininning of time and now with celebs making it popular we are just now hearing about these gifts. From what I hear childbirth is no joke, so it's the least a husband can do for his wife. Now fellas you can do these gifts on a budget! You can most certainly find jewelry, purses, etc in your price range.  Guys you can also do spa days, or cook a nice dinner and get up with the baby at night for your wife. Some moms may want a little plastic surgery---tummy tuck or breast lift.  Now fellas, you have to be creative, get her something she has always wanted! These gifts just say to your wife, "thanks honey for pushing out our little blessing, i love and appreciate you." God willing when Phil and I start our family---I would like a piece of jewelry (a diamonds of course) for the first one and a breast lift for the last one!

Let me know if your hubby gave you a great gift after having your children.

Xoxo :)
