(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - It's no secret that guys like to stick together, but if your other half is inseparable from his best buddy you may have a bromance on your hands.

TheNest.com listed some dead giveaways that a bromance could be brewing. Here is a checklist to see if your guy fits the bill:

  • Is your guy spending more time with his buddies than you?
  • Does he have more nicknames for his bestie than for you?
  • Did he like the movie "I Love You Man"?
  • Do he and his friends have matching outfits?
  • Does he spend more time getting ready for guys' night out than for your date night?
  • Do they have an anthem they call "our song"?

JustAGuyThing.com suggested a test for all the macho guys out there to tell if they have the potential to have a "man crush" or not.

Picture this – you've just been asked out on a date by a gorgeous woman when you bump into George Clooney and he invites you to play poker with him. Do you take a pass at poker and get the girl, or do you choose poker with the "Oceans 13" star?

If you choose Clooney then according to JustAGuyThing.com "it's a no-brainer," you're a prime candidate for a bromance.

But to be clear, the true definition of a "bromance" is a close relationship between two guys that is not sexual , reported CNN.com.

The word has recently been included in the "Oxford Dictionary of English," a dictionary that tracks new words that appeared in common culture.

CNN.com pointed out that bromances are budding everywhere, including on hit TV shows such "Entourage" and "How I Met Your Mother," and have been popular for decades.

"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," the Fonz and his buddies on "Happy Days" and Joey and Chandler on "Friends" are all examples of bromances.
