YouTube: Tour of Wadena Tornado Damage

WADENA, Minn. - Several videos on YouTube are showing the severity of tornado damage in Wadena after powerful storm ripped through the small northwestern Minnesota town on June 17.

Police and National Guard soldiers blocked access to Wadena on Friday as Mayor Wayne Wolden after emergency response officials assess damage and make a sweep of the town. No deaths were reported in Wadena, but 20 were injured – none critically.

Blocks of homes were destroyed, the high school was severely damaged and Wolden said the community center is “beyond repair.”
