EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - There has been a lot of debate after a federal judge put most of Arizona’s immigration law crackdown on hold.

A ban on sanctuary cities in Arizona means local governments can't block officers from enforcing immigration laws like they do here in Minneapolis and St. Paul. It will also make it a crime for Arizona to pick up day laborers who aren't legal.

There's been a lot of debate about this law.

Here’s exactly what Arizona senate bill 1070 says:
The intent is to, "work together to discourage and deter the unlawful entry and presence of aliens and economic activity by persons unlawfully present in the United States.”

VIDEO (left) What does this mean? Ron Meuser, an attorney who's read the law page-by-page and Nick Espinosa, a local advocate against the law, discuss the controversial issue.

Espinosa will be holding a rally against the new law at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the State Capitol.
