'DUI La-Z-Boy' Bids Near $40k

The infamous motorized La-Z-Boy lounge chair a man was convicted of driving drunk on in northern Minnesota is up for auction with bids nearing $40,000.

Dennis LeRoy Anderson pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated stemming from the August 2008 Proctor, Minn. incident. Anderson left a bar on his chair after drinking approximately eight beers.

Proctor police put the chair on eBay Thursday. Bidding started at $500. The proceeds legally have to go to the police, state and the prosecuting attorney.

Anderson's family is auctioning on eBay an autographed photo of Anderson riding the chair to help him pay court costs.
