Minnesota Vikings Scratch Off Lottery Ticket On Sale July 20

ROSEVILLE, Minn. - The Minnesota State Lottery and Minnesota Vikings have unveiled a Vikings scratch-off game that will go on sale July 20. The $10 ticket will be sold at all lottery retailers at the Metrodome.

The ticket features a $200,000 top prize, with a second chance to win a VIP season ticket package for four. Lottery players can also earn points to redeem for Vikings merchandise.

“While this program is not related to our continued pursuits for a new stadium, it is a perfect opportunity for the Vikings to partner with an organization whose proceeds go back to improving the state of Minnesota,” said Steve LaCroix, Vikings chief marketing officer.

A Vikings scratch-off game was part of a stadium proposal at the Minnesota Capitol last session. The plan called for two-third of a new football stadium to be paid for with new taxes and fees, as well as a Vikings-themed scratch-off lottery game.

Minnesota Vikings legend John Randle will be a face behind the new scratch game, starring in two humorous TV commercials. The commercials show fans turning into John Randle when they “need a big play to save the day.”

Proceeds from the Minnesota Vikings Scratch Game will be part of the lottery’s annual contribution to the state, which supports critical environmental funding and the general fund.
