MINNEAPOLIS - Firefighters were called to two house fires in north Minneapolis overnight.
The first fire broke out around 11:15 a.m. on the front porch of a home on the 3600 block of Lyndale Ave. N. Firefighters contained the fire top the porch, but there was smoke damage throughout the house.
At 4:56 a.m., firefighters were called to a fire on the 2700 block of Queen Ave. N. Heavy fire was showing on the front porch and both floors of the home.
Crews were unable to enter the home initially and were just finishing up their work at the scene around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Considerable damage to the structure was reported.
No injuries were reported in either fire.
The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
