A turbo prop plane was forced to make a "belly landing" after its landing gear failed late Wednesday night while approaching the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Both pilot and co-pilot walked away from the crash uninjured. The crash forced two runways at MSP to shut down for about 4 1/2 hours, reopening by 3:30 a.m. Thursday, according to airport spokesman Pat Hogan.
Hogan said the plane went off the runway, stopping near another runway around 11 p.m. Wednesday, forcing both strips to close. Hogan said there is little air traffic at that time of night, and the airport's other two runways remained open.
