MINNEAPOLIS - A group of elders in the Minneapolis Somali community held a meeting Wednesday night with the FBI’s head man in Minnesota.

The group invited Special Agent Ralph Boelter to share a Ramadan meal, with the goal of letting the FBI know the elders oppose the activities of terrorist group al-Shabaab.

Al-Shabaab is believed to have recruited 20 young Somali men from the Twin Cities to fight in Somalia.

More than dozen Minnesotans were recently indicted for helping with recruitment and fundraising efforts for al-Shabaab.
