Shakopee Man Investigated in More Sex Crimes

Sames imitated cop, groped Wis. teen girl

SHAKOPEE, Minn. - A Shakopee, Minnesota man remains in the Scott County Jail, charged with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl and under investigation for similar crimes.

Jamie Lee Sames, 35, remained in the jail Friday after he was charged Wednesday in Outagamie County, Wisconsin with sexual assault of a child and child enticement.

Prosecutors say Sames told the girl he was a police officer and said he needed to search her, then fondled her under her clothes.

Shakopee police are investigating Sames for possession of child pornography.

The Post-Crescent of Appleton, Wis. reports Sames was convicted of breaking Minnesota's "Peeping Tom" law in 2005.
