MINNEAPOLIS - A fire alarm went off at Target Field on Wednesday afternoon during the Minnesota Twins game against the Detroit Tigers.
According to Minnesota Twins spokesman Kevin Smith, the alarm was activated after a sprinkler head malfunctioned, heated up and leaked water in the concession area behind section 105. There was no fire or smoke, and no damage was reported, though the sprinkler malfunction required staff to mop up water that had collected.
The fire alarm first sounded around 1 p.m., with Kevin Slowey pitching for the Twins in the top of the 4th inning.
