ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minneapolis police have tracked the email connected with threats that sent all Minneapolis public schools and Cretin Derham Hall in St. Paul into lockdown Wednesday to social media accounts in Australia.

The message was linked to both a Facebook and MySpace account in Australia. Minneapolis police believe the person behind the accounts has not been in the U.S. for several years, and the Pprson who has the Facebook and MySpace page may not know their page has been hacked.

Police told FOX on Wednesday afternoon Minneapolis Public Schools and Cretin Derham Hall threats are connected.

CDH carried on with its school day while under lockdown. Uniformed law enforcement around the school has been reduced from when the threat was first reported a few hours ago, but plain clothes officers remain on patrol around the school.

The entire Minneapolis public school system spent Wedesday under lockdown after non-specific threats over two social media networks.

Minneapolis Public Schools spokeswoman Emily Lowther confirmed the threats were posted on two social networking sites, but the threats didn't specify a school, so all were placed on lockdown.

Wednesday afternoon, the school district said it would carry on with after school activities as normal and families will be notified if the schools plan to be on code yellow status again Thursday.
