Arrest in 2005 Double Murder in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis police homicide investigators made an arrest Tuesday in a five-year-old double murder case on the city’s north side.

Carlos Plair Clark, 37, aka Carlos Heard, was arrested Tuesday morning at a home on the 4700 block of Dupont Avenue North and was booked into the Hennepin County Jail for murder.

On June 9, 2005 two men were murdered at 1625 Fremont Avenue North. At the time of the incident, officers responded to a shots call and found two shooting victims, Jermaine Isaac Heard and Leroy Kennedy, dead at the scene.

No details about what led investigators to Clark are available at this time. The case will be presented to the Hennepin County attorney’s office for consideration of criminal charges.
