Egg Recall Expands

LITCHFIELD, Minn - A Minnesota-based packaging company is expanding its recall of extra-large, white shell eggs.

Sparboe Farms of Litchfield is recalling those particular eggs produced by Hillandale Farms and re-packaged by Sparboe Farms because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

The affected eggs were packaged under the Market Pantry and Sparboe Farms brand name.

To date, there have been no reports of confirmed consumer illness relating to the Sparboe Farms product.

Last month, Sparboe Farms recalled eggs from Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms in Iowa for the same reason.
