MINNEAPOLIS - Thomas Beach at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis was closed Wednesday, Sept. 1 due to unsafe levels of bacteria.
Wirth and Hiawatha beaches also remain closed as bacteria levels there still exceed EPA guidelines.
All other Minneapolis beaches are open, but lifeguards are no longer on duty at any of the beaches. All beaches will close for the season on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
