3 Teens Hurt in Crash with Semi

Three teenagers were injured, one critically, in a crash with a semi truck Tuesday morning in Mahtomedi.

The accident happened around 8:22 a.m. on Highway 244, east of Century Ave., during a rainy morning commute.

The teens involved in the crash were identified as Estrella Winter, 16, and Kieran Winter, 13, of White Bear Lake and Nicole Anderson, 16, of Stillwater. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 13-year-old was transported away from the scene in critical condition. The other two sustained minor injuries.

White Bear Lake police, the Washington County sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash.
