ST. PAUL, Minn. - One of the men charged with murder of a man outside of Moonlight Magic Bar in St. Paul was convicted on Tuesday.
Nou Chang, 23, was convicted of one count of unintentional second-degree murder and two counts of first degree manslaughter in connection to the beating death in May 10, 2009.
Tai Yang, 20, of St. Paul was identified as the victim of the murder. The Ramsey County medical examiner ruled the cause of death as head trauma as a result of being assaulted.
The four other suspects who have been charged in Yang's death are Thai Chang, 23; Michelle Vue, 27; Keng Xiong, 23; and Teng Yang, 27.
St. Paul police were called to the Moonlight Magic bar, at Thomas Ave. and Western Ave., around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers were responding to a call of shots fired.
Yang was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second man was taken to Regions Hospital, where he was treated and released for gunshot injuries.
