ST. PAUL, Minn. - The pressure is building in the nation's capitol as the U.S. House gets ready to vote on a massive healthcare reform bill.
Whether you support the democrats' efforts or not, you can be heard today -- both in Washington D.C. and here at home.
You could call it "Health Care Action Day" in Minnesota. It's pretty easy to get involved and make your opinion heard on the topic, all you have to do is show up here in St. Paul.
The first event is the longest. Starting at 10 a.m. in room 181 at the state office building -- across the street from the Capitol -- the group Health Care For America Now is featuring health care stories sent to the Minnesota Congressional Delegation.
People will be telling one story per hour for the next 24 hours about why they believe Congress must pass a public health insurance option.
On the other side, a group of young people will gather on the State Capitol steps at noon to talk about their concerns over the healthcare overhaul plans and how they believe the new spending will negatively impact their futures.
That rally will be happening at the same time as something that could look like the final stop of the Tea Party Express in Washington D.C. from mid-September.
