Hecker Fails to Produce Documents, Held in Contempt

Published : Thursday, 19 Nov 2009, 12:59 PM CST

Troubled auto dealer Denny Hecker was held in contempt of court Thursday when he failed to produce bank records and documents in his bankruptcy case.

Hecker was ordered to pay $660 in attorneys fees and produce the documents by noon. Bankruptcy trustee Randy Seaver requested the records which include business accounting ledgers, tax records and lodging and travel expense documentation.

Hecker's attorney, Bill Skolnick, said it was difficult to comply with the court order due to the volume of the material requested and the cost of photocopies.

Judge Robert Kressel told Skolnick his reasons are not an acceptable excuse.
