The Department of Health has decided to expand the requirements for at-risk youth who can receive H1N1 flu vaccine.
Parents brought kids to get the vaccination this past weekend all over the metro, but only those 9 and under were eligible.
Tuesday, the Minnesota Department of Health will announce the vaccine can now be given to anyone age 6 months to 24 years old. It applies to healthy people and those with underlying health conditions.
As far as the other priority groups, people who are age 25 to 64 are only eligible if they have chronic medical conditions.
Pregnant woman and those who live with or care for children younger then 6 months can also get the shot.
Fairview clinics has several locations open for h1n1 shots today. The Minneapolis clinic goes from 2 to 8. Bloomington, Fridley, Eagan and Wyoming Fairview clinics are also open today from 5-8.
