HAM LAKE, Minn. - A huge Halloween party ended with three people taken to the hospital with stab wounds early Sunday morning.
11 police departments in Anoka County responded to a call shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday morning to a home on the 4100 block of Bunker Lake Boulevard in Ham Lake.
“They were having a nice Halloween party and some guys decided to cause some trouble things went nuts,” neighbor Don Kessler said.
Kessler said a scuffle between several of the party goers left one man with a stab wound in his gut, another in the back and third man with a cut on his arm.
“Somebody said something about a gun and then someone said the cops were coming and they all bolted,” Kessler said.
Sally Farley lives across the street from the people who hosted the party. She watched as Bunker Lake Boulevard filled with squad cars, and a helicopter with a spot light searched over head. Farley has called police because of loud parties at the home before and was recently confronted by one of the men who lives in the home.
“He said, 'Well I pay a lot of money to live there so I have the right to have fun with my friends. And I have some party's coming up and a Halloween party,' and he left and he was not pleasant,” Farley said.
Farley has started a collection of police reports during parties at the home over the past six months. She points to an advertisement for the Bunker Halloween Party she found on Facebook as part of the reason the party got out of control.
“They are proving time and time again they can't be responsible adults," she said. "I would just like them to leave."
The man who answered the door at the home would only tell FOX 9 the people who were stabbed are going to be fine.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and has not made any arrests.
