Caretaker Charged with Child Porn, Molestation

An entire apartment complex in Brooklyn Center was put on alert after a convicted sex offender is accused of taking pornographic pictures of three children.

Mark Grassi is charged with photographing and molesting three children who live at the Earl Brown Farm Apartments.

Investigators believe the victims were two 11-year-olds and one two-year-old child. Grassi babysat the children, who according to the complaint, even called him grandpa. Prosecutors and police said there could be other victims.

Police found 200 images of other children in similar poses on Grassi's computer and extensive pornography on his cameras and video at home.

Grassi, who also goes by the name Roland Campbell, was convicted 18 years ago of molesting a four-year-old he babysat.

As a level one sex offender, he was considered unlikely to re-offend, which means Brooklyn Center police knew about him, but not the people who actually live here.
