Arrest in Murdered Teen Found in Golden Valley Park

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A teen was arrested and charged Monday in connection to the death of a victim found in a Golden Valley Park.

The body of James Teto Grant, 17, was found in Wirth Park on July 18.

Police think the murder was a result of a violent gang initiation.

16-year-old Emmanuel Myles and two other teens are now facing charges. myles told police they brought Grant to the remote area as part of a gang initiation and retaliation for an earlier fight.

While there, he says they beat him with a shovel and later tried to weigh his body down with a car battery so it would sink in the pond.
