SHAKOPEE, Minn. - The three Americans have been held captive by the Iranian government for 100 days. Their plight reaches all the way around the world to Minnesota. Family and friends of Shane Bauer gathered in a show of support for one of their own on Sunday.
Candle light vigils across the world took place Sunday for three hikers being detained in Iran. One of those hikers is Shane Bauer, a native of Minnesota.
“It’s all day by day, minute by minute, you just pray the next minute is the one they call you,” said Al Bauer, Bauer’s father.
Al Bauer, along with his family, held their vigil in Shakopee Sunday afternoon.
Bauer, along with his girlfriend, Sarah Shourd and their friend Josh Fattal were arrested for illegally entering the country near the Iraqi border 100 days ago on Sunday.
