Sexual Assault in Burnsville Park

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Police in Burnsville are investigating the sexual assault of a woman walking in alone in a park Thursday night.

According to police, the woman was grabbed from behind and assaulted around 9:45 p.m. Thursday while walking alone in Wood Park, on the south side of 143rd Street, between Portland Avenue and County Road 11.

The attacker is believed to be a stranger and the police are asking the public the public for help in solving the crime.

Burnsville residents living in the area and visitors to the park Thursday night are asked to call Burnsville police at 952-895-4642 if they have anything to report.
