MINNEAPOLIS - Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice paid a visit to the Twin Cities on Sunday. She held a lecture at a metro synagogue, but was greeted at the door by dozens of protestors.
While inside, just about the entire crowd of 600 people was very attentive and gave Rice multiple standing ovations. For more than a decade the Beth -El Synagogue has been a host to speakers from across the country.
Mark Walstein is one of 600 who came to hear what Rice had to say about challenges around the world. The fundraiser featured in part the opportunity to hear Rice speak and unrestricted question and answer portion. The media however was restricted from recording what Rice had to say.
Her comments ranged from the struggles in Iran to America’s completion with China. Outside, more than a hundred protesters objecting her presence in a place of worship.
