Mpls Police Search for Suspects in Weds. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS - Police are searching for clues and suspects after an overnight shooting in Minneapolis. Police went to the scene after their shot spotter device detected gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived at Lake Street and 5th Avenue South they found the body of a man in the street.

Paramedics tried to revive him but couldn't. Witnesses say they believe it was a drive-by shooting.

Police have no suspects in custody as of Thursday morning.

This is the 31st homicide in Minneapolis this year.
