LITTLE FALLS, Minn. - Two teenage boys in Little Falls, Minnesota have been arrested in connection with two reported drive-by shootings.
Around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, two Little Falls residents called the Morrison County sheriff's office to report their homes had been shot at.
One of the callers followed a suspect vehicle while staying on the phone with the sheriff's office. Using that information, sheriff's deputies and Little Falls police were able to stop the suspect vehicle on Highway 10 near the intersection of Iris Road.
Deputies arrested two Little Falls boys, age 16 and 17. A search of their vehicle turned up a sawed-off .22 rifle and spent casings.
In an interview with police, the teens didn't reveal a clear motive for the shootings.
“It was extremely fortunate that nobody was killed or injured by this reckless act," Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel said.
Both teens were taken to the Morrison County sheriff’s office after their arrest and were then transferred to the Lino Lakes Juvenile Detention Center to await charges.
