Lakeville Teen Dies After Hiking Fall

TAYLORS FALLS, Minn. - A Lakeville teen died Thursday evening after falling off a rock ledge while hiking in Wednesday at Interstate Park in Taylors Falls, Minn.

Daniel Richard Canfield, 18, was identified Friday as the hiker. According to the Chisago County sheriff's office, Canfield was hiking with two friends at Interstate Park when he lost his balance near a 20 to 30-foot rock ledge and fell.

He was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he died of his injuries Thursday.
