SAINT PAUL, Minn. - In a rough economy, businesses are forced to think of new ways to attract customers. So, a pizza shop on Grand Avenue in St. Paul came up with a plan -- a dancing chicken.
General Manager Robbie Martel hatched the idea, bought the chicken costume and found an employee who claimed it.
"I'm the only one who's ever worn it," employee and Domino's chicken dancer Chelsea said. "I said I didn't want to wear something that other people were sweating in too."
The pair choreographed a few of their favorite songs, like Sugar Hill Gang's "Apache." The dancing duo is still working on a perfected performance of Thriller.
More than that, it's good business.
"People see them and they call us up and they say, 'We were going to order Pizza Hut, but my roommate says we can't order Pizza Hut because Domino's has a chicken'," Martel said.
