5 Millionth Fan to Attend Hockey Tourney

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota State High School Hockey League officials say they expect the 5 millionth fan to attend the tournament on Thursday night at the Xcel Energy Center.

Prior to the start of the Minnetonka-Lakeville North game at 6 p.m., one lucky fan will be recognized with a special celebration just inside Gate 1.

Based on attendance and ticket sales for the 2010 tournament, it’s been estimated with great certainty the attendance mark will be set as fans are entering the gates for the evening session.
