MINNEAPOLIS - Once a year, Walker Art Center throws open its doors with a night of fun—and FREE—programming for teens.
Thursday, October 29th, from 5-9pm, the theme is “School of Rock,” which M.A. Rosko just had to check out.
Kids can make art out of old records (you know, those artifacts with grooves, made out of vinyl) make a screen-printed t-shirt with anti-establishment sayings on it, listed to DJs from Radio K, watch rock docs, and even trade mix tapes.
Teens also get a sneak peek of the new Dan Graham exhibit, “Beyond.”
Dan Graham is an influential American artist who taps into youth culture and a rock and roll sensibility to create art, architecture and public spaces.
