MINNEAPOLIS - More than 250,000 people in the Twin Cities claim some Polish ancestry. So it’s no wonder the Twin Cities Polish Festival is back for the second year in a row.
It’s happening Saturday August 14th and Sunday Auguest 15th all along St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis.
M.A. Rosko, who’s live at Kramarczuk’s deli and restaurant on East Hennepin, tells us this year’s festival is even bigger and better.
New this year: Twin Cities Polish Film Festival, presented in partnership with MN Film Arts. Starting Friday, August 13th at the St. Anthony Main Theater, it’s seven nights of award-winning Polish features, documentaries, animation and shorts. www.mnfilmarts.org
Also new: The MN State amateur polka dance championships.
And of course, there will be authentic polish food from Kramarczuk’s and Bedlam Theater Company, an exhibit of rare Polish Tatra Sheepdogs, polish folk art, Dolina Polish Folk Dancers, and traditional folk music from Mosaica.
