World’s Biggest Vintage Snowmobile Event in Waconia

This weekend, nearly a thousand vintage sleds are expected to converge on Lake Waconia. As the “cross-dressing” M.A. Rosko tells us, it’s the 22-nd annual Waconia Ride-In. Saturday and Sunday, events include: an 11-mile trail ride (weather/ice conditions permitting), a swap meet, drag races, racing on the oval and more than 45 judged classes for restored and unrestored machines. By the way, “cross-dressing” refers to wearing Arctic Cat gear on a Polaris machine, or vice versa. Quel faux pas!
