Jeff Passolt anchors FOX at 5, FOX 9 News at 9 and FOX at 10.

A Minnesota native from St. Louis Park, Jeff says, "I remember when you could drive on the local freeway system and not get stuck in traffic."

Jeff attended St. Cloud State University, where he got his first taste of television in TV production classes. He also spent four years playing hockey for the Huskies and still ranks among the school’s all-time leading scorers. In addition, he was named a Brainerd Scholar as one of SCSU's top student athletes.

Jeff spends a lot of time with local charities. He’s the Honorary Chairman for America’s Walk for Diabetes and the MS Walk. Jeff also serves on the Board of the University of Minnesota Diabetes Research Center and is an annual host of CMN Champions Telethon. Plus, he’s proud of the many years of work done raising money and awareness for local youth groups.

Of his success at FOX 9, Jeff says, “Don’t believe it when anybody tries to say you can’t, because you CAN come home again.”

Hometown: St. Louis Park, now live in Eden Prairie.

College: SCSU (St. Cloud State.)

Family: Two daughters, 23 and 16. No pets, but keeping Ian Leonard on a short leash is tough enough!

Favorite Story: Maybe I’d re-phrase this to say “Most Admired Story." The response and rebuilding of the 35W Bridge Collapse, proving once again the incredible force of good hardworking people, doing whatever necessary to come together and get the job done.

Favorite sports team: SCSU HUSKIES, followed closely by: Minnesota Wild, Twins, Vikings and Gophers!

Biggest Pet Peeves: People who talk too loud on their cellphone...and waiting in line!!!

Guilty Pleasures: An occasional cigar on the golf course.
