Alix Kendall has been the co-host of the Fox 9 Morning News since its inception in 1999.

“It’s a little like running a marathon everyday” is often how Kendall describes hosting the four hour Emmy Award winning show.

While her favorite subject continues to be politics, she enjoys interviewing everyone from film stars, to best selling authors, while juggling cooking and gardening segments.

Alix Kendall was born and raised in Minneapolis, but her radio career began in the small town of North Platte, Nebraska, where she was hired as a disc jockey for KELN-FM, spinning records for a top forty radio station in 1985. From there, her career launched into just about every format from Public Radio to Classic Rock.

In 1992, she made the leap into television, and was hired at KAAL-TV in Austin, Minnesota as 10pm anchor/reporter.

She has also worked as a reporter and anchor at KRQE-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in 1996 was hired as co-host of “19 in the Morning” in Cincinnati, Ohio where she worked for three years.

Kendall has traveled to Central and South America with “Global Volunteers” and is the executive producer of a monthly subject on traveling that feeds the soul.

She lives in South Minneapolis with her seven year old daughter Kaitlyn.
